The ZEMedS project, financed by the Intelligent Energy Europe Programme(IEE) promotes the nZEB renovation of schools in Mediterranean climate and brings together a consortium of 10 partners from Spain, Greece, France and Italy. During the 1st progress Meeting, organized by the Province of Ancona, the partners reviewed the progress of the activities, with a focus on the development of the main outputs of the project, like the technical and financial toolkits for refurbishment of school buildings , selection of real case studies and the creation of the School Refurbishment Projects database. These tools will help the policy makers and building designers to gain knowledge both about the specific measures that need to be applied in nearly zero energy consumption and available instruments to implement it. All these instruments will be available to final users on the project’s web site and will be disseminated to specific target groups through training seminars and capacity building events organized in the 2nd and 3rd year of the project.
